I survived my last call of residency!!!! I finish pediatric wards Tuesday and then have a peds dermatology elective for the month of June (clinic hours, no call!). Hard to believe residency is almost finished - I know I've come a long way in the past 4 years but I also have a lot more to learn - especially about practicing medicine in Kenya!
June will be full of graduations, last events in Birmingham, a week long medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic, and moving (to Nashville before the big move to Kenya this fall).
The above picture is 2 of my good college friends (Heidi & Shannon) and me at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham - one of my favorite Birmingham spots. I'm looking forward to spending several more refreshing afternoons there over the next month.
